You've been wearing your heels for months now and we are sure blisters have plagued your feet on more than one occasion. We know, fashion over function when it comes to cute footwear, but your poor toes need a break! We have rounded up a list of the top 3 things you can try to make your heels more comfortable, so you and your toes can both be happy.
1. Tape Your Toes.
By taping your 3rd and 4th toes together you will help alleviate pressure on the nerve that runs between them. Pressure on this nerve can cause pain in the ball of your foot, most often caused by wearing higher heels. Obviously this option isn't going to work for a peep-toe or sandal, but give it a try with any other style. Use any kind of tape or even a bandage of some sort - even you're in a rush, plain old scotch tape will do.
2. Blow Dry Your Shoes.
If your cute shoes are a tad small, try putting on a pair of thick socks and using your blow dryer to heat your shoe with medium heat for about a minute. After a minute, wiggle your toes and do some walking to help stretch the shoe. Repeat if necessary.
3. Put Them In The Freezer
Take a large plastic bag and fill about 1/4 full with water - be sure there is no excess air in the bag. Put the corner of the bag into your shoe and allow it to fill into the shoe. Place your shoes in the freezer overnight. Once the water freezes it will expand, therefore stretching the shoe.
Give these tricks a try and hopefully you will be able to wear those haute heels a little while longer. If all else fails, remember to keep some band-aids in your purse and flats on hand. Wedding season isn't over just yet!comments powered by Disqus
