During the summer we bask in the the hot sun, lathering up with sunscreens and long- wear makeup, that can clog pores and cause breakouts. Then as we head into fall/winter we are met with often harsh winds and cold, leaving us dry. To make this transition easier on our complexions and keep our skin happy and healthy, these are a few products you may want to invest in this season.
1. Oil Cleanser
An oil cleanser will help break down the pore-clogging, long-wear products that can irritate the skin. Using this as a pre-cleanse is beneficial to getting a deep clean. Follow with a gentle creamy cleanser to remove anything left behind and condition the skin.

Using a gentle exfoliant daily will help scrub away impurities and dead skin cells. As we shed our summer layers, it is important to remove the dry surface cells that can also clog pores and make our complexions dull. This doesn't need to be the harsh micro-bead scrubs of the past, look for toners that contain glycolic or lactic acids to gently peel away those layers.

3. Detoxifying Mask
A weekly detox mask with clay will help absorb any excess sebum, purify pores, reduce redness and soften skin. These can also be used as spot treatments when a stubborn pimple pops up!
Glam Glow - Super Mud Clearing Treatment
A serum with Vitamin C will help brighten a dull and uneven complexion, battle sun spots, boost collagen and deliver hydration. This is an anti-aging must-have for the sun worshippers!

5. Face mist
Look for a moisturizing facial mist to spritz on after cleansing and anytime throughout the day when you feel dry. Moist skin makes it easier for other products to be absorbed, which allows you to get the most out of your skincare regime. Many are packed with vitamins and nutrients to help protect against free radicals and boost elasticity - the perfect prep before a moisturizer.
Josie Maran - Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist
In the fall/winter you may want to switch to a richer, cream moisturizer, that will provide instant relief for dehydration. If a heavier moisturizer makes you afraid of a potential break-out, use it only in the evenings or every second night to restore a consistent balance and comfort dry skin.
